Native American woman with wolf

Thomas’ “The Teacher” is a beautiful depiction of a Native American female and a wolf peeking between a couple of birch trees. Thomas says, “I have been incarcerated for 25 years off and on. I’ve always loved to draw. I found this is a Southwestern Art magazine and I loved it.  The wolf is my birth totem and I’m a practicing Native American so a wolf is a teacher of wisdom through life for me.”  Thomas says he created “The Teacher” using trillium, pencils, and kneadable erasers.
